Just stumbled upon the site whilst doing research on WW 2 M1 helmets. I found the site interesting and very informative.

Comments:

My dad's separation papers from WW2 show that his last assignement was with the 23rd General Hospital in France in the vicinity of Vittel, Epinal. I did not see any info about this unit in your web site. Can you direct me to info regarding this unit? Thanks.

I'm signing for my father, Amos O'Neal Flood, who served in the 179th. He is well and I'm trying to find where others might be that served with him.

Comments:

My dad, Edmund Delneo was a "surgical technician" with the 4th Convalescent Hospital - named may have changed after they left Ft. McPherson in Georgia.
He saw service in England, Normandy, Ardennes, northern France, Central Europe, and the Rhineland fromnov. 1942 until Nov. 1945. I am trying to identify his actual unit or find someone wgho may remember him.
