General Interest

Carentan Historical Center
The Carentan Historical Center is situated on the site of what is now known as "Dead Man's Corner", Saint-Côme-du-Mont, Normandy. It now houses a museum showing items from the collection of Michel De Trez, and is most definitely worth a visit when in the area.

Hardscrabble Farm
Another extensive website containing various information relating to WW2 living history and re-enactment. The site is maintained by Brian & Robin Mead.

Olive Drab
An outstanding website offering several hundred pages of articles relating to all things Olive Drab.

The Liberator
Personal website of Belgian researcher and collector Johan Willaert, containing information about his military vehicles, militaria collection and much more.

Trigger Time - 101st Airborne WW2
Historian, author and collector Mark Bando's outstanding website dedicated entirely to the 101st Airborne Division. Also the home of the renowned Trigger Time Forum.

US Airborne during World War II
Another great research website, which offers a plethora of information relating to the US Airborne Forces of WWII. Also features trooper pictures and division histories.

US National Archives Enlistment Records
Online access to more than 9 million US Army enlistment records; provided free of charge by the National Archives.

"Dear Folksies"
An online archive of the personal letters written by Dr. René Bine Jr. of the 59th Evacuation Hospital from April 1942 - October 1945. The website has been collated by Linda Bine, René's daughter.

130th General Hospital
A website maintained by John H. Sweet, son of Lt. Col. Howard E. Sweet, who was the Executive Commander of the 130th General Hospital. A great site, offering lots of information about the unit.

203d General Hospital
A website hosted by the WW2 US MRC, and maintained by Lois Shiner-Montbertrand, daughter of Captain Robert Lamont Shiner, and is dedicated to his unit during WW2, the 203d General Hospital. Lots of information and definitely worth visiting.

32d Station Hospital (Africa to Italy)
An excellent website maintained by hospital veteran Willard O. Havemeier. His site contains a lot of information, including unit histories, rosters and reports.

A History of Nurses and Combat Medics From the Revolutionary War to Today
A collection of useful links and articles looking at the history of Nurses within the US Army from the Revolutionary War to the present day.

Cindy Entriken - Blog
Homepage and blog of author Cindy Entriken. Cindy's Aunt, 1st Lieutenant Ila L. Armsbury, ANC (ASN:N-732002) served with the 155th Station Hospital during WW2. Cindy is also publishing a book entitled "Ila's War", documenting her Aunt's memoirs.

Doc Hoovie's Supply Chest
Visit Steve Hoover's excellent Yahoo! Group for information relating to the Medical Department. Also a great source of printable reproduction paperwork, both Medical and non-Medical related.

Office of Medical History
The official US Military Medical History website, which is owned and maintained by the Office of the Surgeon General. This is great site, and offers many electronic versions of wartime-produced documents.

A website dedicated to offering information and research relating to US Army Camps in the Midlands of England during World War II. A fantastic website and source of data for any researchers.

United States Army Hospital Ship Algonquin
An excellent website maintained by Rodney Wilkerson, and dedicated to the Hospital Ship on which his father served. A great deal of information, and most definately of interest to anyone with a WW2 medical interest.

USS Hope (AH-7)
A memorial website for the men & women who served on the USS Hope (AH-7) during WW2.

Dodge WC54 Ambulance
An excellent website maintained by "whitestar", and as its name suggests dedicated to the Dodge WC54 Ambulance. The site has a wealth of information about the vehicle, and its restoration.

Dodge WC64 (KD) Ambulance
A brilliant site maintained byGuido Wilmes, and tells the story of his restoration project WC-64KD Ambulance. The site has a great deal of information and resources relating to the vehicle.

Website of the American-based reproduction supply company, At the Front. They have some great gear on their website, and definitely worth a visit

J. Murray Inc.
Website of US Army helmet recreations and restorations. Sells both individual components and complete helmet packages.

War Dog Militaria
WarDog Militaria is a company with 39 years' experience, providing its customers with quality and reasonably priced genuine issue military surplus and military collectables, specializing mostly in US militaria.

Westland Military Antiques
Peter Kniest has a lot of US medical supplies (although some are post-war) which have been stockpiled in Greece since the 1950s. A lot of these are available on his website, and he also has lots of other WW2 US equipment.

WWII Impressions
The website of American-based company WWII Impressions. They offer a plethora of reproduction equipment and clothing for use in re-enactments.


WW2 & Veteran Organisations

70th Infantry Division Association
Website of the 70th Infantry Division Association. Contains a large amount of information relating to the unit during WW2, including a list of PWs, Casualties, a Roll of Honor and also unit rosters for the 70th and its attached units.

GI Trace
GI Trace is a website designed by John Munro for the benefit of others who are trying to trace their GI Fathers or family. Some of the information on the site has been supplied by researchers and friends, and even includes a German section.


WW2 Re-enactment

101st Airborne 506th PIR Band of Brothers
Hungarian re-enactment association that was launched to immortalize US troopers, including ones of Hungarian origin, who fought and died in World War Two for future generations.

10th Mountain Division Living History Display Group
Website of the Colorado-based 10th Mountain Division Living History Group. They have a great site, which offers a wide range of features.

29th Division (UK), 116th Regiment, C Company - Re-enactment Group
Website of the excellent UK-based re-enactment group, the 29th Infantry Division. Contains some very useful information, images and an online forum.

Texas Military Forces Museum
This site is home to the re-enactment group of one of our friends, Roger Dean. They have some excellent photographs on their site, as well as lots of information from the museum itself. Well worth a visit.

U. S. Militaria Forum
Excellent Forum for the discussion of US Militaria from any era. AN excellent resource for collectors and re-enactors alike.

WW2 Re-Enacting Forum (UK)
The UK Re-Enactors Forum is a great source for WW2 re-enactors and collectors from the UK to exchange information about equipment, events and everything else. Definitely worth registering here.

WW2 Re-enacting Forum (US)
Another online forum for the discussion and exchange of information by collectors and re-enactors, this one primarily for US-based re-enactors.
